Votronic solar regulators of the "MPP" (maximum power point) series with the "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are used as a link between the solar panel and the battery.

With MPP technology, the controller always automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. Then, it transforms the excess voltage of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (performed by high-efficiency high-frequency switching regulator technology). This charging current gain ensures shorter charging times and the best possible energy utilization of the solar system, up to 30% more charging efficiency.
